"We have no government armed with the power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion... Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."John Adams

"The Chicago Way: Deceive, Distract, Deny, Delay, and Do take credit for anything good that happens.Using this strategy the Administration has shown that they can get away with just about anything, e.g., fast and furious, Benghazi, IRS, NSA, DOJ snooping, VA hospital scandal and Obamacare among many other "manufactured crisis". Rick Adamson 2013

In 2012, the Country missed a golden opportunity to have elected a career problem solver, a turnaround expert and manager when we most needed it. We should be ashamed that we now elect Presidents based on popularity rather than substance, ability and experience.

“I believe too that most people, if they knew the truth, would prefer constitutional government to what we have now, given where it's going. The problem, of course, is that most people have been hoodwinked by the government into believing that: a) You can have it all; and b) Someone else will pay for it. The truth is that the "someone else" is, of course, us.

Well, us and the generations which follow us. Government is piling up huge financial obligations to be paid by our children and our children's children. Some people are OK with that. I'm not. By trying to do too much, most of it unconstitutional, government has promised more than it can deliver. But we citizens continue, for the most part, voting for those politicians who promise us the most free stuff — cradle-to-grave security. It will bankrupt the country.

I believe that no one is entitled to live at the expense of others if those others have no choice in the matter.”

“… the determination of murder and suicide are basic social, economic and cultural factors, not the prevalence of some form of deadly mechanism.  In that connection, recall that the American jurisdictions which have the highest violent crime rates are precisely those with the most stringent gun controls.”

Mr. Obama said, "The USA is not a Christian Nation".

He is wrong, we are a Christian Nation founded on Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions in America to Worship & Practice Freely.

Well, I will pick up on what you just said because it's about courage and sometimes courage requires that you speak to people who you love in ways that challenge them, Bill. And what we're seeing now is that the civil rights leadership is all too happy to take the money and shut up and then pretend somehow that they are speaking to the interest of those children or to the community.

An interesting prophesy from almost 100 years ago.

H.L. Mencken (born 1880 - died 1956) was a journalist, satirist, critic and Democrat. He wrote this editorial while working for the Baltimore Evening Sun, which appeared in the July 26, 1920, edition:

As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.”

H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun, July 26, 1920

“It is a signal advantage of taxes on articles of consumption, that they contain in their own nature a security against excess… . If duties are too high they lessen the consumption—the collection is eluded; and the product to the treasury is not so great as when they are confined within proper and moderate bounds. This forms a complete barrier against any material oppression of the citizens, by taxes of this class, and is itself a natural limitation of the power of imposing them.”
